I know that it sounds amzn.to/28NQ2xYweird, but I love this new lens. I actually can't believe how long it took me to get a nice all purpose lens like this . I had been using my little 18-55mm kit lens that came with my Canon Rebel for way too long. The zoom was very jerky and the exposure would always flicker, making video work very difficult. It would take forever to auto-focus as well, which caused me to miss many good shots. By contrast, Canon's 24-105mm f/4 'L' lens is a dream to use. And the quality of the shots I'm getting right off the bat makes me wish I hadn't wasted so much time struggling with the old lens. I guess now I'll appreciate this new one a bit more! Just take a look at some of the test shots in the video. I think you'll agree, they show the lens works in a variety of outdoor lighting conditions and with a variety of subjects (landscape, portrait, macros). Plus nice bokeh! Here's a linke to a deal on them on Amazon: http://amzn.to/28NQ2xY . Enjoy and let me know what you think!
Anyone looking for a high quality, highly versatile Canon lens that works well on both aps-c (crop sensor) and full frame canon cameras? Check out this quick unbox and tips on getting the best price on Amazon.
I'm in that stage where I'd like to switch from a crop-sensor to a full frame camera, but I've got to keep saving my pennies. Also there's always the problem that when you get there, you may not have any money for lenses. What I"ve done to make the best of my APS-C camera (a Canon Rebel) while I wait save up for my dream camera (Canon 5D Mark iii) is buy Canon's 24-105mm f/4 'L" IS USM lens. After watching reviews of this lens like Christopher Frost's excellent YouTube video I decided to get this lens. What's great is that it's pretty easy to find it far below retail price as a "white box" lens that was sold separate out of camera/lens package. Here is a link to some on Amazon: http://amzn.to/28NQ2xY . What I can tell you thus far, this lens has very nicely dampened zoom and focal rings that work especially well for those of you shoot video. Photographers will of course appreciate such features too. Both auto-focus and manual focus work nicely and the built in stabilization is great. I especially appreciate this for hand-held shots, as I prefer to not set up the tripod if there is plenty of light. I'm taking this lens on my next trip to Yosemite and other nearby areas and will put up some test shots so check back soon!
Wireless earbuds have been available for a while but they often had poor sound, short battery life, or just weren't very rugged. Finally, JLab has got it right with these little buds. Check out my full review in the video below.

Ballistic's Urbanite Series Delivers on Drop-proof, inexpensive Cases for iPhone 6s / 6s plus / 6 / 6 Plus.
This is the best simple, drop-resistent case I've found. I've "tested" it accidentally a few times on pavement when I've accidently dropped my phone, and it can take up to 6 foot drops according to Ballistic. It comes in a bunch of colors, it's well made and is a good deal on Amazon right now! Most waterproof cases look like general issue army gear: all black, really clunky, and not very well designed. The waterproof, drop-proof case by Catalyst delivers military spec ruggedness without all that.
As someone who frequently works and plays in wild places, I depend on good weather forecasts. Forecasts have to be accurate for remote towns, not just give you weather for the nearest airport, as many weather apps do. Such apps can be very misleading if the airport is in a valley and you need weather for a mountain that's near but has a different elevation. AccuWeather gives you more local information in a number of ways: 1) their database includes many small towns, 2) they provide animated precipitation maps so you can see how the storm is approaching, 3) they provide National Weather Service weather alerts for your area (favorite and/or current location) and 4) the app now provides the hyper-localized near-term precipitation forecast, a feature made popular by the Dark Sky App.
I also like the fact that AccuWeather is customizable, allowing you to see a chosen number of

Share the joy of not running out of batteries for your Phone or Tablet this season with Scosche's 2 port car charger. This thing charges lightning-quick and will work with all major smartphone and tablet brands. So don't let the Christmas music on Pandora end or the GPS navigation die on the way to your Aunt's new house - get one for yourself too. There are a lot of poorly-made chargers. This one is less than $15 on Amazon ($20 elsewhere) and is definitely worth every penny!
Is it possible to get an $11 waterproof iPhone 6 case? I bought one on Amazon and put it to the test. After I put this through the wringer, I suggest some other options for waterproof gift-giving.
